Well sometimes it seems that when it rains it pours, not only literally (lately), but metaphorically. This post is late because not only did my computer break this last week, my camera too! Well now that things are semi working again...here's this week's post!

Spring Blossom Candy Craft

I found this cute idea on familyfun.com and archived it for a day when I was feeling less than creative. Come to find out Valentines day was one of those times when I was in a creative crunch, and also crunched for time helping my son get all his Valentines done. I needed something cute but simple for a teacher valentine. I did a whole bouquet of these lolly blossoms with some cute patterned paper and ribbon for the leaves they turned out so cute! We have some very delicious suckers that would make a great center piece for these lovely spring blossoms, make some to give to your friends, family!

Some new feathered friends have nested in the store - our new plush owls are so cute, and they brought some cute little reindeer with them! Some of you who read our Sweet Pea Blog and shop our store know we just got Melissa and Doug toys in. There are some Melissa and Doug items at Sweet Lizzie's that are worth stopping by for! We have a pair of life sized dalmations, a very sweet treat tower, and more!

Furniture is something we have been doing for awhile now. We are trying to get the word out about all of our furniture and decor items, because we have some unique and one of a kind finds. We are always getting new and scrumptious things in, antiques to up cycled items. If you stop in on a regular basis you are sure to find some great items to add that special touch to your home. This week we have a great dresser with clock knobs, a ladder back chair with a fresh poppy fabric sure to brighten any room, and some unique shelves for that space that needs some oomph!

As for our sweet treats, we will be having new chocolate coming in today to add to our gourmet chocolate case....mmmm!

As I mentioned in last week's post, we just got Valentine candy in...and I must say it is going fast! We all have done the last minute scurry out to get fun Valentine treats for our honey's, but for the best selection, stock up on your Valentine treats soon!!! A Spoonful of sugar...or maybe two

It seems like this time of the year when the weather will start to be a little less sunny I always need a little pick-me-up, a spoonful of sugar to make the medicine go down so to speak. Sweet Lizzie's is the perfect place to go and get that little something for yourself and also a friend who might need a little brightening! There are plenty of things to choose from of course! If you are a nostalgic person you might just take a trip down memory lane with all the old fashioned candy to choose from. Or maybe you're the type who needs sugar free confection, we can fill that need as well! As for me I love every sweet, every tooth in my head is a sweet tooth! But some days I am hankering for something a little more decadent like the gourmet chocolates and fudge we have! Who doesn't love chocolate? If you haven't been to the store lately, we just got a new chocolate counter that is larger, with more space to hold more chocolate! Currently there are around 30 or so delights to choose from!

A new arrival this week is the Caramel Apple Kits! These are from Abdallah and there is enough Vanilla caramel and sticks to make five caramel apples for only $6.99! Delicious, and a favorite fall treat!! This would make a great party treat for Halloween, or even as a gift!

The new furniture post for this week is a sweet little round drop side dining table 41.5" round and drops down to a 2' section for $72 and two beautiful pioneer chairs with black and white Eiffel Tower fabric $44 each.

Visiting Teaching Message October

For the last couple of months we have been selling a new type of item at Sweet Lizzie's, Visiting teaching message gift bags (or boxes as the case may be)! Each month we will have the new Visiting Teaching Message along with a treat in an AMAZING hand packaged gift box or bag! Do you usually include a treat or a card with your visit? Or maybe there are those who are hard to reach and you have to drop by quickly or drop a note off? These are a fun way to share your Visiting Teaching messages with a little something extra! We have pre-package these sweet gift bags so you can give a sweet treat to the ladies you love, and you don't have to go to the extra effort make it amazing, it's all done! These range from $3.00 to $3.50 and feature a different treat every time. This month's message is I love to see the Temple, even if you have already done your teaching this month, these are sooo worth stopping in to see, they are absolutely gorgeous!

My goal is to post a new sweet treat and a new furniture arrival each week, there are plenty of both to post more than one, but you'll have to stop by and see all the yummy things for yourself!! 1. Utah truffles- when I
am craving chocolate, these really hit the spot. Hooray, we now carry them in Mint, Almond, Chocolate, Raspberry and Orange. I also love that they are made in the state, which supports
Utah's economy.

2. Sugar sanded Lemon Drops- these are sweet and tangy and last forever!

3. Mini Gummi Bears- these tiny bears are just somehow a bit tastier than the others...

If I had a nickel for every time I got asked when our chocolate covered cinnamon bears are coming in, I would be a rich woman and could retire from the candy business early.

In response to popular demand, they are arriving to Sweet Lizzie's on Monday around opening...27 pounds of yummylicious chocolate coated cinnamon chewiness.
